Intro

Without a post or steady programming session in a few months I'm back on the wagon trying to learn about Rails 5 with the latest Michael Hartl Tutorial.

2 x 45 minutes sessions a week is the new goal with a focus on getting through the course in October.

Updating to Rails 5.

I found the main guide for updating pretty straight forward.

I don't use the cloud IDE that Hartl Recommends as I find it harder to navigate but that could be just lack of experience.

Setup

I jumpted straight into the toy_app, avoiding the first demo app. It took me a while to create my ssh Keys for bitbucket but eventually managed to figure it out through google search.

That was the first 45 minutes. Not much achieved but back into it.
